In an effort to address the student- athlete's need for additional academic support and college preparation, K.P. Youth Foundation provides a comprehensive four-week SAT Prep course free of charge to mostly Teaneck residents (grades 11-12), giving preference to student-athletes.

In many instances, low SAT scores serve as a barrier for admittance into Division 1 college programs. This course provides an opportunity for student-athletes to acquire and/or practice the skills necessary for success on the SAT I standardized test. It  also equips participants to approach the SAT process with increased confidence.

Two SAT prep classes are offered:

Verbal SAT Prep and Math SAT Prep.

Participants may take one or both of the classes. In addition, participants have the opportunity to meet with a case manager to establish personal SAT goals and to discuss the specific areas that serve as barriers to college admission/scholarships (ie., academic deficiency, financial difficulties, family issues). Based on this information the participants then develop a personal development plan. Motivational forums are held to address issues such as academic achievement, self-esteem enhancement, NCAA regulations and the college admissions process. Participants receive all course materials free of charge.

Cognizant of the busy academic and athletic schedules of today's students and student athletes ( in particular), the summer course offers an excellent opportunity for students to fully attend to the course material.
